Senior portraits for free-spirited, adventurous girls is what I do. I’m a photographer that jumps fences, sits in the surf and laughs endlessly with my soulmate clients who are usually leading the way into the water or through a field.

Photographing teens and bringing them to a place where they are completely lost in the joy of the moment is my super power. And, what I’ve found is that they keep returning, which makes me so happy. They book me for personal branding/modern headshots, a white shirt shoot and engagement shoots.

Story of a Senior Portrait Client

This is the story of Lanie, who is through and through a free-spirited, adventurous girl and knows what she wants! Lanie, lives 3.5 hours away from me in another state. That’s not uncommon. Over the years clients come to me from all over the U.S. because like Lanie, they know what they want and make it happen.

Ten days prior to being on vacation at the NJ shore Lanie sent me 2 urgent emails. I’m going to be honest, the emails had a hint of desperation. She was going to be on vacation, she’d drive to me, meet me or could I meet her at the beach, but I HAD TO BE HER SR. PHOTOGRAPHER! There was not a chance I was going to say no to that. Not to mention that she had this super fun personality and definitely fell into the free-sprited, adventurous category.

The stars aligned and we fast tracked her booking and prep so that we could take her senior portraits at the beach during her family’s vacation.

Senior photoshoot day

The weather on our senior photoshoot day couldn’t have been more beautiful. Lanie’s outfits were flowy skirts and a dreamy Free People dress that had her giddy twirling in it in the surf.

It was a day that fell together through serendipity and felt like it was absolutely meant to be. Was it my favorite senior photoshoot? Honestly, every single one of my clients is my favorite.
