Let’s get Real

Authentic, real, senior pictures – as in…can we get real? No, I mean, really real. As in, not vanilla. NOT trying to be like everyone else. OR, not trying to be anyone but yourself. In a world saturated with perfectly curated lives, finding authenticity – as in, genuine and unique has become, mmmmmm, a little challenging.

Being deeply rooted in capturing the true essence of individuals, bringing out their personality and uniqueness is what I do. Well, okay, Paige (you may be thinking) this is at the heart of what you’ve been doing with senior portraits for the past 11 years. What’s different?

It started on I-95, with lots of driving time to think. We had spent a weekend at the The Graduate Hotel in Providence, RI. Graduate Hotels are known for personalizing each of their hotels based on the college town they inhabit. They’re one of my favorite hotels BECAUSE of their personalization and uniqueness.

Creating an Aesthetic that feels right

I realized, Paige P. Photography is so similar to the Graduate Hotel aesthetic. Creating an environment where teens feel comfortable to express themselves authentically is what I do. A senior photoshoot is an experience that’s customized to resonate with, and highlight your personality, mirroring the way Graduate Hotels curate their spaces to reflect the spirit of the community.

In a world inundated with mass-produced content and generic experiences, can we please value authenticity? Photos are a dime a dozen but ones with authenticity are rare. I’ll always choose celebrating the true essence of teens and timeless memories over a “pretty picture”. My intent is for you to feel your images.

And… THAT is what I was thinking as we drove home after our weekend at a hotel that shares the same values as Paige P. Photography.
