Do you love shortcuts?⁠

⁠When it comes to clearing out my inbox, yes. When it comes to a photoshoot…not so much. ⁠⁠

It would be a lot easier if I sent out a few suggestions for what to wear to a photoshoot. ⁠

It would be a lot quicker if I didn’t send out a skin prep guide prior to your shoot or even offer hair & makeup for that matter. ⁠

And it would definitely be a shortcut to have you show up for your photoshoot take an hour’s worth of pictures sitting and posing and call it a day. ⁠

This photoshoot was booked for the spring and we had a consultation. Then we moved it out to mid-summer for covid reasons (why else?), had a styling consultation and then moved it again when she found out her braces were coming off soon. ⁠

Before the photoshoot ever started we went through 3 styling calls and I sent away for a bunch of outfits from a source I work with. ⁠

Working with 2 different ages requires approaching the photoshoot from 2 different ways, that is, if you don’t want to take a shortcut. ⁠

Bottom line…it was a great photoshoot and no shortcuts were taken. Why? Because I believe in giving you the best experience possible and that’s not possible without effort. ⁠
