The questions I’m asked most frequently is when do I book my senior pictures. These are the 3 reasons to book your senior pictures NOW. Spring has just begun and I’m opening my calendar. NOW is the time to BOOK.
1. Choice of dates
Everyone likes options. The further into the year we get the less calendar dates you have to choose from. I don’t shoot every day of the week which limits openings on my calendar. I have also begun photographing women in their 20’s+ which also limits senior openings. Every season of the year has it’s advantages and it becomes a personal choice but if you’re thinking it’s too early to book your senior portraits for spring, summer or fall, it’s not.
2. Styling Options
Every photoshoot includes a styling appointment. This is when we go through your closet and pull together 3-5 outfits that you totally love. It often happens that after we’ve determined outfits you’ll want to go shopping for a different top or jacket that you’ve had your eye on. When you plan your senior portrait day in advance that allows us time to schedule your styling appointment in advance which then means you have to time to go shopping for those extras. It’s the domino effect. Don’t get caught feeling frazzled. Plan in advance and book your senior pictures NOW.
3. Hair and Nails
This follows the same domino effect reasoning. We always suggest having your hair highlighted or colored no sooner than 7-10 days prior to your photoshoot. Nails the day prior. Again, by having the option to select your preferred dates you’ll be able to ensure that all of your appointments are in order.
Bonus #4
And then there’s the bonus 4th reason…it’s something incredibly fun to look forward to. It’s a little like the ice cream cone you get at the end of a really tough week. Senior year gets crazy with tests, essays, college visits and keeping up with school. These 3 reasons to book your senior pictures now plus the bonus is why you really need to get in touch. Schedule your senior pictures NOW, whether you book it this month (if you can) or next fall. You’ll be sooooooo happy you did!
