I’m going to be straight up with you. You will not get a photoshoot with all smiles when I photograph your daughter. That’s not real. Your daughter has a whole lot of other emotions and isn’t that what you’re looking for? Senior Portraits with all of the emotions? Images that you can feel her personality? That get to the core of who she is?

With the month of February (Valentines Day) just around the corner I’m reposting this blog. It goes to the heart of what I do. I create photographs that evoke emotion and are emotional – happy, soulful, meaningful and very sentimental.

PERSONALITY PLUS

Below is Alex. She is funny, I mean FUNNY! We laughed but you know what, I know after photographing girls for all these years, that there’s a whole lot of substance underneath that silliness. I also know how to capture that. So yes, personality plus not only means incredibly engaging and fun. It also means an image filled with the emotions that we all have.

There are so many different ways we go about capturing all of the emotions. It depends on the individual’s personality. I also know with the most vibrant personalities, like Alex, it takes some settling in and trust.

USING MY SUPER POWER

Ever since I can remember people have been stopping to ask me for help and directions. Lost children have wandered up grabbing at my hand (not even kidding).  And then, people repeatedly tell me –  my superpower is making others feel at ease. Apparently, it doesn’t even require a camera in my hand!:D. Seriously though, settling in and becoming lost in the moment requires trust in your photographer. It’s also the absolute key to getting all of the emotions.
