What to wear for fall senior pictures. Fall is the season that gives you so many options for senior pictures outfits. Here are a few tips to help you with choosing outfits for your senior pictures this fall (book a photoshoot with me and a styling call is already included).
Determine your Style
This is not as easy as it sounds, for some, but it does help as an overall compass. Start with outfits that you feel comfortable in and make you happy. Stuck on determining what your style is? Take my What’s your Photoshoot Style Quiz. Not only will it help you pinpoint your style, it also goes deep on what that means when choosing clothes.
Incorporating Trends
Some of the trends this fall are: Varsity bomber jackets, wide legged pants, knit dresses, leather everything and the corset top is everywhere. Adding any of these pieces to your outfits is great but pair them with classic items so that your Senior pictures don’t look dated years from now.
Layering
Fall is the time when you can start breaking out the sweaters, jean jackets, cargo jackets, oversized blazers. All of these items can be layered over summer and/or fall dresses. It’s the time of year that’s still warm but has a coolness in the air. Layers also add interest.
Color
Stay away from white and black. Fall is the season of color. It doesn’t mean looking like a crayola crayon box but find the colors that work with your skin tone and wear them. Denim and khaki are considered basics that can be worn with any color. Find a cute top in a color.
Accessories
‘Tis the season for hats and lightweight scarves. Stay true to you BUT, it is fun to put on a hat for a few shots for a different look and you may just find that you like it! Jewelry also adds personality to a basic top and bottom.
