I’ve been wanting to walk you through my process on the how and why I do styling consultations for a while now. This was the perfect photoshoot to highlight. Below is a sneak peek from a recent photoshoot that I had with Emmie, who’s a freshman.

We had our ups and downs with styling this for a lot of reasons. The seasons are changing, shopping in stores really isn’t much fun lately and inventories are a little off. In addition, when girls go from 8th grade to Freshman year, their style starts changing as well as their sizing.

So often, girls, especially freshmen or younger don’t even have a style yet. They think they know what they want but don’t know how to articulate it. We get into all of that during the styling consultation. It’s a process but so worth it because they’re feeling confident, which is 90% of the game right there.
